"The Gaza-crisis must not be forgotten", the Austrian Member of the European Parliament, Lukas Mandl, stated in the European Parliament's plenary sitting. "Hamas is still around. They were not even ashamed to put children on the line, they put their own civil population under immense risk", Mandl said. "Time and again I can only put forward my recommendation to deweaponise Hamas, to demilitarise the Gaza strip, to support education also against hatred, Islamism, antisemitism, to create an environment for economic self-capability", Mandl emphasised.
"And if humanitarian aid will flow it must be ensured that not one single Cent will be misused for ideologies of hate and death in various fields such as the education system. Because that means pouring hatred in the hearts of children", Mandl said.
