For the sixth time, an exchange with young talents is taking place in Strasbourg – Goals: Making European Parliament work tangible, promoting exchange, conveying values
Strasbourg (OTS) – Austrian MEP Lukas Mandl gathers around a dozen young talents in Strasbourg every year. As part of the "Strasbourg Discourse Days," now taking place for the sixth time, the young people will spend three days in the European Parliament introducing themselves to the EPP – the European People's Party. The twelve participants selected this year come from different parts of Austria. While getting to know the European Parliament, the program also includes exchanges with leading personalities. In previous years, these have included Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament; Manfred Weber, leader of the European People's Party in the European Parliament; and Francois-Xavier Bellamy, Vice-Chair of the European People's Party Group in the European Parliament.
Initiator Mandl emphasizes: "The EPP is a shaping force that gained ground in the European elections. It stands for values such as freedom, self-determination, and solidarity. Young Austrians should have the opportunity to experience these values and shape the future of Europe. Of course, our program also includes discussions with representatives of the Social Democrats and the Liberal Group. Strength lies in breadth."
